The investigating authority of the Federal Economic Competition Commission (“COFECE”) informs the initiation of the investigation following charges over possible relative monopolistic practices in the market of production, distribution, and commercialization of domestic insecticides in national territory, contained in the Federal Economic Competition Law (the “Law”).

This investigation is understood as an administrative investigation procedure in which the acts that may constitute a violation of the Law have not yet been identified, nor has it been definitively determined the person or persons who are to be heard in defense as probably responsible for a violation of the aforementioned regulation.

COFECE will request documentation and, if deemed necessary, will conduct verification visits to obtain information; it will also summon to testify those who are related to the investigations.
